Meet with your lender and provide him/her with the items on the loan application checklist.

Determine your purchasing power by choosing a financing option.

Go with me to view the homes you’ve selected.

Make an offer on a home that’s right for you.

When all parties agree on the terms of the contract, attend the scheduled inspections.

Inform your lender that you have ratified a contract. 

Obtain a hazard insurance policy and pay for one year in advance.  Forward a copy of the policy to your lender.

Make your moving arrangements prior to settlement.  Complete a change of address form with your creditors and the post office. Contact the local utility companies and put service in your name effective the date of settlement or rentback.

Obtain a certified or cashier’s check made payable to the title company.

Attend the final walk-thru and settlement.
